For a while now I have been wanting to complete a New Me Makeover. I am not talking about a 30 day quick fix challenge or a 14 day makeover. I wanted to dig deep and totally change my life. I wanted to work on my whole life.
It is not that I am sad or dissatisfied with my life. I just figured it could be a whole lot better. There are things I want to learn and do and see. I know I can be a better version of me, I just need the focus and time to get it done.
I needed a mission.
I figure a year ought to be just enough time to overhaul my life and make the changes I want to make.
I decided to break it down monthly. Each month I will focus on a different aspect of improving myself. Some of the things I want to work in include:
- Personal Soft skills (Italian, photography, holistic healing, etc.)
- Fitness Habits Makeover
- Spirituality and Religion
- Professional life Makeover
- Home Organization
- Budgeting and Finance Makeover
- Discovering my City
- Nutrition Makeover
- Widening my Cooking Horizon
- Gratitude, Nature and Mindfulness
- Minimalism (Making do with less and decluttering my life!)
- Relationships Makeovers
My challenge will start in January, which will be my “Personal Skills” month. I have an awful habit of getting really into something for a few weeks then losing interest. We have all been there right? My challenge to myself for the month isn’t to conquer all of the skills I want to learn in one month, rather I want to find a way to set goals and make a schedule to commit myself to learning the things I want to learn.
